current work

I still develop plug-ins for 3ds Max and Maya. I the current project we focus on the simulation of snow. At the beginning of 2011 I also started developing Apps for Apple's iOS. Stay tuned for my project page–which is still under development–for an overview of my former, current and, future projects!

background

I studied Computer Science at the University of Ulm, Germany. Medicine has been my subsidiary subject. After finishing my studies I worked at the company Cyland, Inc. in Karlsruhe, Germany. My main topics had been the design of databases, its access with embedded SQL and php and a bit of server programming. Then I worked at the DKFZ in Heidelberg, Germany. There I developed a visualization system for the data of DNA analysis. Then I moved back to Karlsruhe to the University to the graphics department of Prof. A. Schmitt as a research assistant. Finally I finished my PhD in February 2008. From October 2009 to December 2010 I worked at the company Materialwerk. We developed texture synthesis plug-ins for 3ds Max and Maya. In the Brix project we focused on the memory efficient representation of realistic looking wall textures.
